World Economic Forum

As the founding Communications Lead for the Centre for Urban Transformation (one of ten centres within the Forum), I managed communications for the team’s various workstreams by delivering a pipeline of content, including thought leadership, impact stories, case studies and reports with Forum Partners and external experts. I also worked with the Forum’s media team to identify and create urban transformation stories for the Forum’s channels as well as external media. I also collaborated with the Forum’s crisis communications lead. The Centre’s workstreams focus on innovative practices in architecture, infrastructure, mobility, economic development and climate mitigation and adaptation—and how new …

National Development Council

NDC (now called Grow America) is the most experienced and comprehensive community and economic development non-profit in the US. Since 1969, NDC has been working in under-resourced communities to bring capital and expertise to grow small businesses, build affordable housing and develop social infrastructure, including libraries, city halls, campus buildings, research centers and more. Ennead Architects

To develop a strategic communications plan, I interviewed the partners and conducted an analysis of the firm’s message and positioning. This process resulted in a content-driven multimedia marketing strategy based on the firm’s extensive portfolio of projects in the public realm. Ennead Architects (formerly Polshek Partnership) is a 170-person firm based in NYC designing academic, cultural, health care and laboratory buildings.

Mayor’s Office

I worked with the Mayor’s Office for Long Term Planning and Sustainability to write the 2012 progress report for PlaNYC (PDF). Launched in 2007 by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, PlaNYC is the sustainability and resiliency blueprint for New York City. To draft the report I conducted research and interviews with the OLTPS staff on all policy issues related to sustainability, resilience and long-term planning–from recycling to transportation, energy conservation, housing and neighborhood development, brownfield redevelopment, parks and public space, air and water quality.
