All Things Urban
As a business development and communications strategist for all things urban, I work with clients in architecture, planning, resilient design, real estate, and economic development. This work is based on 25 years of experience as a commercial real estate reporter for The New York Times, as the Executive Director of the Forum for Urban Design, and as a Congressional aide on Capitol Hill focused on urban revitalization policy.
Strategic Collaboration
On retainer or project basis, I complement your firm’s in-house capacity by working with staff and management to realize longer-term goals. This might include reaching new clients through presentations and live events; winning RFPs and design competitions with well-crafted responses; or aligning communications and development goals by refreshing digital, print and social media marketing strategies.
Content Creation
With a background in journalism, I know how to tell a story in a compelling and authentic way. As the media landscape changes rapidly, creating original content to establish thought leadership is more important than ever. This might include op-eds, articles and multi-media products. Through interviews and research, I can identify your stories and the best medium for your message, acting as a content creator and project manager.
