Bio
“The city-state comes into being for the sake of living, but it exists for the sake of living well.” –Aristotle
“It is a miracle that New York works at all.” –E.B. White
I’m originally from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and previously lived in Northern California, Washington, D.C., and Manhattan before settling in Brooklyn with my two daughters, Lelia and Simone.
I have a BA from the University of California Davis, and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University, where I also studied urban planning. I have worked in journalism, non-profit, and politics–and draw on this experience to inform my consulting practice. I’m also a book author, a tennis enthusiast, and an unabashed policy wonk.
